I haven’t used this for potting herbs yet ? but I have used this for a variety of other things e.g. protection for surfaces for various art projects with ink, watercolor and acrylic; protect my clothes when I change the car air filter; cleaning out junk drawer or bins by flipping them over with cardboard onto this mat - the edges fold up & stay together with Velcro so easy to use flat or with edge to keep things from rolling off.UsefulThis product is quite simple yet perfect for its purpose and cleans up easily. The design provides a contained area that is perfect when pruning, repotting, transplanting, or cleaning garden tools. It solves the problem with indoor gardening where spaces are shared, messes need to be kept to a minimum, which also saves time. We have found it very useful when gathering herbs from the outside garden because it can lay on top of other plants without damaging them as this mat is lightweight and flexible. Then when the fun is done, clean up is quick and easy, and the mat folds small and needs minimal space for storage.This mat was a but smaller than I thought, but I'm not great with measurements, so it could be entirely my fault.It's easy to connect and disconnect the corners, and to clean.This mat works great for my indoor plant needs.The item is listed as two pieces.
