Not only did this come with a damaged piece, but even in putting it together the wood would split. Plus, since the main counter part is open, whenever it rains water just sits in the drawer. The handle that came with it looked like the cheapest piece of metal found and looked like it was found in a junk heap. Overall, for all of the modifications I had to make on this piece when I ordered something that was supposed to be ready to put together, I was not too happy. This took way longer to do than what it should have been.I ordered this Potter's Bench for my Porch and I really love it. For $75 it is really a bargain. However, the Instructional details that came with it were very difficult to follow. It took me about 2 hrs and some upside down and backwards pieces put together that had to be taken apart. There are absolutely no words to follow, just letters and pictures and you have to figure it out yourself. They include a really flimsy Phillips Screw Driver that I looked at and immediately went to get my Electric Screw Driver when I saw there were over 200 Screws to use!!! There are also some extra pieces of wood detailing and hardware that don't belong to this particular model. They leave you to figure that out too, lol. The descriptive color states it is "Natural" but if bright yellow is Natural then ok :-) I happen to love yellow and it's part of my decor so I was fine with that. I've included a pic but the pic doesn't really show you how bright the yellow is, but it is bright. Overall, very satisfied, but a word to the wise, don't have any adult beverages or a relaxing glass of Wine ( I didn't) or limited time when you put this together or else you will be there for days. Putting this together was anything but relaxing.Difficult to put together. Predrilled holes are not in the right place on a couple of pieces. Needs better instructions. Like arrow on the legs. Be prepared to improvise. You need to have 2 people to put together and have knowledge of putting things together.I stained this before putting together as it will be on a porch. Took it well and looks good. Braced it a bit more as I have heavy plants to repot. Used it this past fall as they were brought in and it is plenty big enough. THE ONLY THING is slats. I love a solid bench so I don't make such a mess, can scrape up dirt and reuse instead of sweeping and moving it to get underneath. Love the lattice and little shelve, comes in handy.This is a ‘light duty’ bench. Looks nice.Direction are only hard to see pictures, but common sense will prevail. It would have been helpful to have a second pair of hands for the first couple of steps. The supplied screwdriver is useless, use a power screwdriver. I mostly used my small household power drill.Overall, I’m glad I chose this one. Good buy for the price.It took me about an hour to put it together. The instructions could be better, but I figured it out. The color is a bit garish, but it's already beginning to mellow. It rained last night, and I noticed that the drawer had water in it, I can see that's not going to last for long, but that's ok. It's not an expensive item, I would say it's worth the money.I LOVE IT! I'M a cancer patient, but this was easy for me to put together in my living room! I'd give 5 stars if it had a tough, polyurethane coating instead of just being stained. I'll have to get someone to do that for me since this will be outside. I'm also going to add rubber caps or casters to legs. Overall it is exceptional especially at this price!Very nice item, nicely packaged. I really wanted it for my patio, but unfortunately it didn’t fit into my limited space. There was not problem returning it. Seller was very responsive and reimbursed the entire amount in timely fashion.
